Antenna array on the aircraft will generate large RCS in some aspect angles, therefore, the analysis of the RCS of antenna array is very important to the development of stealth techniques of aircraft. The scattering of dipole antenna array and microstrip antenna array is discussed in this paper. In chapter 3, [Z] and [Y] Matrix interpolation techniques are introduced, and their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed. Then they are applied to analyze the electrical characteristics of antennas, which greatly reduces the CPU time. The RCS of dipole antenna array is evaluated in chapter 4. Firstly, the model of thin wire antenna is analyzed. Then the mode scatter of dipole antenna array is evaluated with the moment method. The piecewise sinusoidal basis functions and Garlerkin's method are used in this paper. The RCS reduction approaches such as loading and conformal techniques are studied. The scattering of rectangular microstrip patch antenna is studied with the full wave method in chapter 5. A set of roof-top subdomain basis functions are employed to model the current distribution on the conductor. Using Galerkin's method, the surface current and other parameters are derived. The integrand exhibits slowly convergence and highly oscillatory, which leads to difficulties when attempting to evaluate the impedance matrix elements. This paper investigates an efficient method to evaluate the asymptotic part of the impedance matrix elements. The method is applied to calculate the RCS of a microstrip patch. Finally the RCS of a 2X2 rectangular microstrip array on the grounded substrate is computed in this paper.
