Realization Of Unicode And XML In Electronic Publications

This article analyses electron and network problem of Chinese Ancient Books ,and studies technology of Unicode and XML to resolve this problem ; systematically introduces Unicode architecture , BMP(Basic Multilingual Plane),UTF-8 and UTF-16 ; study and develop realizable methods of Unicode in electronic publications and weakness and merits of Unicode . This article systematically introduces XML and correlative standard of XML ; relation of XML and Unicode , using DOM to parse XML document ; and application of XML technology at《e-KangXi Dictionary》. At the same time , this article systematically introduces COM/DCOM technology , ActiveX technology based on COM/DCOM and application of ActiveX technology at 《e-KangXi Dictionary》 . This article systematically expatiates upon RFC technology and MIDL and work principle of RFC at Client/Server and application study of RFC in ActiveX at《e-KangXi Dictionary》.
