As companies continue to face tougher global competition, the demand for top quality products and services grow more acute. Competition successfully in today's market place also means customized products and increased agility in customer relations.E - Marketing is such an upcoming way of trading that will really hit considering more and more people are becoming aware of the Internet and the potential it has. It is of great importance to note that there has being tremendous awareness of what Electronic Marketing is and its benefit to the current market set up. This I note is such a step toward the real online selling and buying.This dissertation traces the evolution and development of Electronic Marketing in general, and then will concentrate on the current traditional trade methods of the lint in a selected cotton lint company in Tanzania. The outcome of this research will be to develop an online rapid prototype Marketing Website for the chosen Cotton Lint Company in Tanzania. The proposed model will accommodate the promoting, publicizing, advertising of lint online for the chosen lint company, in order to give a competitive advantage to the company in the current turbulent business environment.The Yasekon Cotton Lint rapid prototype system is created using Visual Interdev 6.0 software to design and implement web applications that support ASP (Active Server Pages). ASP is an open, compile-free application environment in which you can combine HTML, scripts, and reusable ActiveX server components to create dynamic and powerful Web-based business solutions. Using IIS, a web Server is configured and the web pages published on the computer hosting the server. Web Client/Server is implemented for online business transacting and cotton lint promotion.Graphics User Interface (GUI) will be implemented to be user friendly for data capturing and manipulation. The GUI technique is designed using Visual Interdev 6.0 that uses ActiveX Data Object (ADO) model to write and read data in the Microsoft SQL Server. Module Identified is the Marketing Module.
