Li Jiansan, with another name—Qianting, was born in the Pingnan County of Guangxi province, lived in the period of the Qing dynasty Qianlong and Jiaqing, was born in Pingnan county of Guangxi province. He was once the magistrate of 8counties such as Shandan County in Gansu province. He was a man of probity and loved his people, and was beloved by his people. Li Jiansan was good at express his feelings and his ambitions, and he left us his six-volumed Suxuan Anthology. However, the academia hasn't developed a neated and thorough research on it.This dissertation bases on the Suxuan Anthology (Daoguang edition) stored in Guangxi Museum, and referenced by some other literatures as Suxuan Anthology(Daoguang edition) stored by Guilin Library, Sanguanyingling Collection(Daoguang edition), Guangxi General Records, Qiaoxi Anthology(Daoguang edition), recenses and annotates remains of Li's works, and also classifiesand analyzes his poems. The main contents of Li's poems are about the care for people's Iife,the nostalgia and sadness of loneliness, and the descriptions about the landscape by roads. His works has an artistic character of using literary quotations, of the brilliant conceiving, and of remarkable descriptions on the scenes of coldness and quietness, and of fluent and fresh language. And also, the poet expressed his lonely vagabondism through describing the images of the moon, the rain, the lotus, and the wild geese and the cranes, etc. In short, Li's poems supplied with us the rich culture contents and high literaryvalue.
