This thesis focuses on the control methods of time delay linear system with uncertainty and its application to the structural active control. The achievement mainly includes three parts. First, the approximate method is put forward which aimed for solvingthe H control problem of time delay system. The method can transform the H controlproblem of time delay system into the well-developed H control problem without timedelay. Second, the approximate method is applied to the structural seismic response control. The simulation proves the approximate method can greatly reduce the structural displacement. Third, the ADRC is used in the structural seismic response control. The feasibility and control effect of applying the ADRC to the time delay system is also discussed. By applying the ADRC to the structural seismic response control of the system with the input time delay, the simulation proves that the ADRC is feasible to damping the structural seismic response. In the end, the analysis and expectation of robust control theory for time delay systems and its future application in structure control are made.This thesis consists of five chapters, and the organization is as follows: In Chapter 1, not only the development history and the research status are introduced, but also the important function of control scheme in structure active control is expatiated. In Chapter 2, we expound the anti-seismic strategy. At the same time, some basic knowledge of the structural dynamics is also set forth. At the end of the chapter, the development of robust control theory and infection of time delay to structure control are introduced. In Chapter 3, the approximate method is put forward, by which we can transform the linear system with time delay to that one without time delay. The effect of simulation indicates that the approximate method is more effective than optimum method. In Chapter 4, a novel nonlinear active control scheme ?auto-disturbances-rejection controller (ADRC) is applied to the structural seismic control. The application of ADRC to time delay system is discussed. The feasibility and control effect are discussed as well. In Chapter 5, the main research achievement is summarized and the problem existed in application of time delay system to structure active control and possible improvement are also brought forward.
