In recent years the utilization of semi-conductor LD is becoming more and more extend, as well as the needs increased. This very task is a test system designed for the key national project of physical science--- the research, development and produce of super-power LD and LED. The purpose of this system is to make the foundation for the manufacture of LD and LED, and provides necessary methods and tools for the development of super-power LD and LED. At present, the congener apparatus can抰 be purchased in the market. The only way is made to order. The driving current provided by the system can be up to 5A. The current impulse is 1 microsecond to continuous adjustment. The system stability is good. Comparatively, common system can only reach 3A, and impulse 10 microsecond. The article describes the process of getting intuitions P-I curve from PC through data collection, transmission from the driving current and radiation power of LD and LED. The article discusses theoretically on the radiation theory of LD and LED, transformation theory of PIN photoelectric diode. As for the test system, including the form of step signal, modification of pulse width, enlargement of power, receive and transformation of optical signal, collection of data, A/D transmission. This article discusses in rather detail the structure and working theory of those electric circuits. On the basis the collection work of the 200 groups of data can be fulfilled. It also makes foundation of making P-I curve on PC by the data.
