As science and technology developing, equipment on-line operation monitoring, fault diagnosis and automatic control technology have become indispensable parts of modern machinery. So, to achieve these objectives, the signal picking up, signal transmission and signal processing become important component of the technology.In this paper, for the issues of on-line monitoring and fault diagnosis of a large rolling equipment in more difficult operating conditions for the load, metallurgical equipment, port equipment, drilling equipment, machinery and equipment, it develops the wireless signal transmission system, whose core was Bluetooth technology. Meantime, it completes the system hardware design, microcontroller programming, and uses Protues of electronic simulation software to simulate the Bluetooth wireless transmission system. The simulation proves that the match of hardware and software is rational and the system design is correct.The system can realize 8-channel wireless transmission of signals, transmission speeds up to 721 kbps, sampling frequency 4.717 kHz. Sampling error is less than 0.5%, able to meet basically the signal acquisition and transmission requirements of machanical force and energy parameters, process parameters and dynamic characteristic.In order to achieve the signal on-line processing, use LabVIEW virtual instrument software development platform to design the fault diagnosis data processing procedure, which includes the noise reduction processing, time-domain statistical analysis, time-frequency analysis, frequency domain analysis, kestrel analysis, correlation analysis, and wavelet analysis of complex signals. By this signal analysis technology, people can get a variety of equipment fault diagnosis parameters, such as load conditions, stress state, state of motion and vibration, and the related velocity, temperature and other process parameters of the actual situation. So the technology is of great significance to protect the safe operation of large and complex devices.Finally, the software analyzes a company's 1780 hot rolling mill of torque measured signal and a large ship machine vibration signal and verifies the practicality of the software features and the correctness of data processing results.
