Research On The Intelligent CAPP System For The Box Parts

The machine process planning is of great importance in the modern machine-manufacturing field, which is the link of product-designing and product-manufacturing. The Intelligent CAPP System for the Box Parts(IBPCAPPS) is developed with MSVB by applying such technologies as expert system, CAPP, database theory and so onIBPCAPPS has certain value both theoretically and practically in realizing ICAPP and improving machine process planning level, which lays the foundation for integrating the CAD/CAPP/CAM system. It can be used to plan the machine process of the box parts and generate sorts of technical files. The tools for establishing and managing the technical databases & knowledge bases, and the technical card editors are also provided in this system. IBPCAPPS can lighten the onerous labouring and improve the efficiency.In this thesis, the basic components, principles and realizing methods of IBPCAPPS are explained, especially the way of knowledge expressing and acquiring, the reasoning mechanism and the controlling strategy and so on.
