Synthetic aperture radar has evolved to satisfy a variety of applications for bothcivilian and military users with its fine resolution capability and possibility ofday/night operation in all weather. This dissertation investigates the problem forsynthetic aperture radar imaging algorithms and theirs application. The parallelalgorithm for radar imaging is presented with some modifications made to corealgorithms of radar imaging process. Finally, Software on parallel processing for radarimaging is finished. The work carried on are given as follows:鵇oppler parameter is a very important parameter in SAR imaging. It is a veryessential aspect to estimate Doppler parameter very accurately in the research for SARimaging technologies. With the introduction of entropy to measure the extent of theimage focusing and use of it to estimate a Doppler frequency rate, a new technique forestimating the Doppler frequency rate is proposed which requires a small amount ofcomputation and gives a high accuracy.鵉ourier transform is the core technology in the process of radar imaging. Aftercareful research and draw into the experience of 2-radix Fourier transforms algorithm, this paper develops a q-radix parallel Fourier algorithm that can be carried out inButterfly-network.?SAR imaging process also requires a advanced image quality. This paper givesa image processing algorithm which includes smoothing, measuring, enhancingprocess to improve the image quality.鵗his paper analyzes the internal connection and comparative independence ofSAR imaging data and disentomb its potential parallel probability which improves thealgorithm's efficiency for radar imaging.鵉inally the parallel software for radar imaging is finished and validated. It hasgood ability of human-computer interaction and gets the affirmation of some experts.
