AbstractThe automatic testing system is designed to test the CPU mainboards of digital protection sets, and to save and manage the testingresults.The system can perform the automatic testing of 5 models ofmain boards: 04A, 04B, 04C, 04D and 06A and the testing items aredigital input channels, digital output channels, analog input channels,protection settings zones, serial I/O ports, Lonworks channel and the resetcircuit. The testing system not only can judge whether the tested board isqualified or not, but also can search out the fault point and decide thepossible fault tyPe.Meanwhile, the systCm can autOmaticalIy save the testingresults to the database server after a main board is tested. The wholetesting results consist of a CPU main board database, which providesoriginal data for the product process management automation. Moreovef,it offers users effective and flexible methods for retrieval and query.The structure is divided into 3 layers. The first layer is thetesting set, the PC in the middle and the upper is database server. Thetesting functions are performed by the testing set and the PC. PC alsosaves the new testing data to the testing database that is on the databaseserver, or retrieve old data from it. -From the operation status, we can judge that the system hashigh perfOrmance. Its testing function is fast, accurate and reliable, and itsinterface is conveniellt and shortcut, furthermore, its management oftesting data is secure and comPlete. The initial design object has beenrealized.
