Isomerous EDA Data Sharing And Design Integrated Environment Technology

This dissertation makes the first systematic study of design for the EDA integrated environment and relative issues in China. The EDA integrated environment integrates five EDA tools.They are Mentor, Cadence.. Protel.. Viewlogic and Pspice. The bottom data conversion programming provided the foundation for the EDA integrated environment. In this paper we pay great attention to reaserch several kinds of EDA tools such as Protel. Mentor and Cadence to achieve the cooperation of EDA tools. we have done a lot to realize bidirectional convertion of schematic and simulant hierachy. Still work together with others to realize partial PCB hierachy conversion interface.Among our programming two special methods adopted in some hierachy are Ample language and EDIF files for the reason that most of Mentor data files are binary. The whole environment applies client/server mode, realizing the network management of the design data. It also supports the corporation of the multi-designers on the basis of the united administration of the users. Therefore the research for this integrate environment provide a new development direction for EDA tools.
