Based on the analysis of the traditional DSS and integrating the technique of distributed objects (COM), the article brings forward a new DSS design based on COM using B/S architecture. And the design has been applied to the engineering practices successfully.Whether dialogue component, data component or model component is constructed on COM technique, which is a specification on distributed object.
