On the basis of the former grafting robot for vegetables, more improvement and development are made. More automatization and efficiency are reached.On the aspect of mechanism, the automatic devices of identifying stock growing point and supplying stock seedling are added. The device of conveying stocks automatically is modified and the one that can transit clips automatically is added. So the grafting robot for vegetables becomes more perfect. The controlling system use PLC (programming logical controller) to control sensors and electromotors. It can complete grafting perfectly and reach high reliability.The precision of stock cotyledon direction orientating which the device of identifying stock growing point performs is tested by means of the technique of image processing. The experiment shows that this grafting robot for vegetables can success to orient stock growing point and cut one of stock cotyledons and growing point precisely.
