The Interactive Multimedia Technology On The Internet

The current mode of Intemet aPplication cannot meet the need of the rapiddevelopment of the Intemet and Multimedia technology We need a new aPplication modeWhich is designed specifically fOr the Intemet Interactive Multimedia Applications. Thiswill give the users sufficient suPport for Illteractivity and provide the informationpublishers a more convenient means of developing and sustalning multimedia distributions.In this paper the current aPplication mode is analyzed; the advatages and disadvanagesare brought forward; a practical scheme is pllt fOrward. The implemehaion of my concePtsis also illustrated. My implementation work includes low-level suPporting software in VBand Java versions, a communication control servef, a simple multimedia terminal and a tCstmultimedia server.
