Researchs On The Characteristics Of Cooperation And Competition Of University Students And Their Relations With Personality

Cooperation and competition are one of the theme in modern society. Universtiy students should learn how to cooperate and compete, these two important skills are basis for students adapting to society.Study on cooperation and competition personalities of students by using self-compiled questionnaire of students'cooperation and competition personalities.Cooperation trait are the stable and integrated model composed of persons'cognition,emotion and values. This model is a unique quality which are separated from other people in cooperation. Competition trait are the stable and integrated model which separated from others in competition.Based on previous research, the methods of document analysis, questionnaire survey, factor analysis and relation were used to study students' traits of cooperation and competion. Then, relation research were carried out between cooperation and competition personalities.Several main conclusions were drawn as following:(1) University Students' Personalities of Cooperation and Competition Questionnaire composed six dimentionalites. Result showed the reliability and validity were good.(2) Aspect of gender was significant difference on cognition of cooperation, girls were better than boys significantly.(3) Aspect of status, student cadres were better than other students significantly in cognition of cooperation, cognition of competition.(4) Aspect of only-child originating family, non-only-child were better than only child in cognition of cooperation.(5) Aspect of city and rural, students were not show significant difference in psychological tendency of cooperation and competition.(6) Aspect of grade, the freshmen were low significantly than other grade students; The freshmen and other studens were difference significantly in cooperation emotion, junior and senior were significant difference in cooperation emotion; In the competition values and competition cognition dimentionalities, the scores of freshmen were low significantly than other grade students; Freshmen and senior were difference significantly in competition emotion.(7) According to study of relation, there were positive correlation significantly on university students' cooperation trait and general adaptability of environment. There were positive correlation significantly on university students'cooperation cognition and general adaptability of environment. There were negative correlation significantly on competition emotion and academic adaptability. University students'cooperation cognition, aspect of cooperation and competition cognition predicated significantly to the general adaptability of environment.
