As an important part of the traditional Chinese culture and the traditional Chinese education thinking, "the absolute authority of the teachers" has play an important role in the maintenance of social morality, human behavior norms, the traditional education and the relationship of teacher and student for thousands of years. However, more and more Chinese people began to reject "the absolute authority of the teachers" for various reasons in the contemporary society. This paper analyzed the meaning, the proposing process, the historical and the reality situation, and the contemporary value of "the absolute authority of teachers", aims to explore the way to re-establish "the absolute authority of the teachers".This introduction to the research background, present status, research ideas and research methods conducted a general description. In addition to introduction, the body of a total of five parts:The first part has analyzed the meaning, the path, the characteristics and the development process of "the absolute authority of the teachers". The meaning of "the absolute authority of the teachers" includes the teachers'ethics, dignity, majestic, example, specification, and duties. The path of "the absolute authority of the teachers" includes the way teachers as the teacher, the way people respecting the teacher and the way people seeking the teacher. The characteristics of "the absolute authority of the teachers" includes the seriousness as a education norms, the authority as a political thought and the extensiveness as a social consciousness.The second part has analyzed the different situation of "the absolute authority of the teachers" in the history and reality. As a political policy, "the absolute authority of the teachers" was respected by the previous ruling class and intelligentsia. However, on the other side, the teachers'actual social status is low.The third part has combed the reason why "the absolute authority of the teachers" lost in contemporary society from five aspects:the limitations of the theory, modernity and the market economy, the foreign educational philosophy, the educational system, and the behavior of teachers. The historical stereotypes, the feudal shadow and the obsolete theory led to "the absolute authority of the teachers" has been misinterpreted and misunderstood; the rapid development of modern information technology, the diversity of social consciousness and the immature market economy has shaken the "the absolute authority of the teachers"; People always has a blind faith in the Western educational theory, and "the absolute authority of the teachers" was considered as the opposite of "teacher-student equality" and the development of students, even the obstacles to education reform; The educational system itself weakened "the absolute authority of the teachers", for example the Exam-oriented education; some teachers'wrong act and the alienation of the teacher-student relationship were also corrupting "the absolute authority of the teachers"."The fourth part has explored the values of "the absolute authority of the teachers". in the educational value, "the absolute authority of the teachers" could affect the effect of the education and promote teacher's self-improvement. In the political values, it could affect the future of country and destiny of the nation, promote the political stability and the political harmony. In social values, it could improve the level of social civilization.The fifth part has explored the way to re-establish "the absolute authority of the teachers" from six aspects:the theoretical innovation, the government's promotion, the driven by the community, the construction of school, the self-discipline of the teachers and the practice of the students. To reconstructing "the absolute authority of the teachers", first we must clarify its original intent and value, correct people's misconceptions and continuous Ongoing the theoretical innovation. Second, the government should act actively to improve the education system designed, give teachers some certain legal power and improve the social status of teachers to construct "the absolute authority of the teachers". Third, the community, including non-governmental forces and the media and public should promote the rebuilding of "the absolute authority of the teachers" together. Finally, the school, teachers and students all have to act together to re-establish "the absolute authority of the teachers".
