Teacher's authority, which is a kind of social relationship, is an essential element at school where it trains people collectively. Teacher's authority will develop an everlasting power in educational process. However, high-speed development of information also brings unprecedented impact while it brings prospects for society. At the age of pursuing students'freedom, teacher's authority seems to have lost the meaning it exists. The definitions, which contend different opinions of teacher's authority obstructed the people with the research of the authority problem, the teachers usually feel confused in teaching practice because of the misunderstanding of teacher's authority. According to this actuality, the writer tries to carry on the overall sorting to teacher's authority from the view of the sociology, analyzing the present condition of the primary and junior high school teacher's authority, putting forward strategies that realize teacher's authority and making it be advantageous to the education.1. Discuss the reasonableness of the teacher's authority. Discuss what the authority of teachers is, and point out the differences between teacher's authority and teacher's power, teacher's prestige, freedom of students, the teachers'social position, avoiding the misunderstanding of teacher's authority because of the connectional confusion.2. Point out the meaning for the existence of teacher's authority: Teacher's authority is an important guarantee that maintains the social order, setting up teacher's authority can promote teachers'development and give more concerns to the teachers, it is also advantageous to the effective delivery of the teaching culture and the smooth implement of the teaching3. Discuss the present condition and reasons of the primary and junior high school teacher's authority. The present condition contains three aspects as follows: The marginality of the knowledge authority, the weakness of the system authority, and the existence of the authority doctrine. The reasons can be concluded into two aspects- subjective and objective: Lack of social concerns; unreasonable evaluation to the teachers; The teachers themselves lack of right view of the teacher's authority; Some teachers are not qualified as the professional authority and the inspiration authorities, lacking of the prestige.4. Put forward reasonable resolutions to the current problems of authority. On the one hand, to strengthen the teacher's exterior social support system; on the other hand, to promote the teacher's support system of themselves. Only by the function of these two aspects can the teacher's authority establish.
