In China, special education has a long history of more than one hundred years. Although special education has made great achievements in recent 60 years after the founding of our country, however, compared with other developed countries, China's special education still has a long way to go. At present, China's special education still has many problems, such as special children's school attendance is lower than that of ordinary children, the insufficient number of special schools, the shortage of special education funding and so on. But the current bottleneck restricting the development of special education is the lack of special education teachers. As the world's most developed capitalist country, The United States'special education is highly developed. It has a great deal of successful experience of training special education teachers, especially the experience of pre-service training of special education teachers, which is quite different from our China's. In this paper, by comparing the pre-service training system of special education teachers in our country and the United States to learn more about the successful experience of the United States, so as to overcome our weaknesses and improve our pre-service training system of special education teachers, and cultivate a significant number of high-quality special education teachers. And all of these can alleviate the tremendous pressure caused by the shortage of special education teachers and promote the development of special education in China, ultimately better for our country's overall educational quality.
