China's traditional rural relationship is based on Confucian ethics. Farmer's communication follows the differential mode of association. Since the late 70s of the 20th century,the modernization process in rural areas to promote rural community economic structure, political system and cultural traditions do undergone profound transformation, the influence of modern industry and the market economy to the villagers extends from the material to the spiritual level, people's thinking began to become more rational. These changes greatly affected the relationships in rural areas.Prior to the change, J village is a typical closed, the traditional northern inland rural areas, whose social relations have shown a typical pattern of differential mode of association. However, with the spatial reorganization and labor to non farm transfer of traditional social relations for the existence of closed, non-flow conditions of the social structure was broken, people's value orientation, behavior and communication methods of choice have made major adjustments,the differential mode of traditional village social structure has changed. In this study, we found meaningful information from the daily life of villages and interviews with the villagers; and in a village level to explore the unique changes in social relations. The paper is constructed by five parts:Chapter one introduces study origin, research question and background; reviews the literature, and then points out the research significance and research innovation.Chapter two tells the background of social change of the study siteChapter three analyzes the characters of the social relations change of J village.Chapter four explains the causes of the change, the spatial reorganization and labor to non farm transfer of is viewed as the most important factors.Chapter five discusses the future of the social relations in J village; points out that the basis Particularism orientation of traditional rural social relations based on greatly reduced, Universalism orientation of social relations in general growing.
