Construction And Application Of Competency Model Of Middle Level Administer In Higher Vocational Colleges

Higher vocational education is a rather better way to cultivate advancde and practical talent. We should make full use of current education resource to open vocational education colleges. In higher vocational colleges, middle-level administers are the backbone who will implement the development of higher vocational colleges and play the connecting role in colleges, so their quality and their competency will directly affect the development of higher vocational colleges. Hence, adopting scientific method to fix their selection standard can bring their potential into full play. Putting them to the best use is also the focus of higher vocational colleges'attention.On the basis of competency research result in the past, this dissertation will construct comeptency model of middle level administer which has the feature higher vocational colleges in order to develop a middle level administer selection system based on competency with the hope that it can provide scientific and objective foundation for the selection. First, this dissertation introduces the timeline and development of competency, competency trait model, and the research outcomings of competency and its model at home and abroad, and gives sysmetic analysis on the application of competency model into talent selection. Based on the above, it defines the concept-middle level administer's competency. Next, by Behavioral Event Interview and questionair, it constructs the competency model of middle level administer in higher vocational colleges and test on it. Last, according to the constructed model, it explicits the weighting of evaluation standard by the way of hierachical analysis, and adopts fuzzy subject and object comprehensive assessment to evaluate candidates. Taking the example of the selection of director of Science and Research Department in Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute, the dissertation test the applicability of the model. Finally, it analysizes the chanllenge the model will confront with, and predicates its development tendency.
