Five thousand years of splendid Chinese civilization and the unparalleled wealth of written records have been recognized as the world. In this profound long history, the Chinese art of calligraphy for its unique art forms and artistic language reproduces the diachronic evolution process. It is an important part of Chinese culture as well as the shining pearl of the world's cultural treasure house. Moral education, as the first of the five dimensions, is contained in the teaching of all subjects. Calligraphy teaching is no exception. While imparting knowledge and skills to students, take it an effective means of moral education. In-depth exploiting the moral factors of calligraphy will greatly benefit cultivating students'good moral character as well as improving their own moral qualities and knowledge.This study takes humanistic education as a guide, as well as pedagogy, psychology and teaching theory as the theoretical basis of calligraphy. On the one hand, reading the literature; on the other, exploiting in the educational and teaching practice, this study comes to the goal of ideal combination of theory and practice. In view of the students features in secondary vocational schools, the moral goal is organically integrated into the education of calligraphy.By studying the cultural phenomena and the learning process of calligraphy, this thesis at last achieves the influences of moral education on students, by making use of the calligraphy's function of cultivating morality. Research has proven that calligraphy, for the most concise points and lines and its deep cultural foundation, maps the fine traditional culture and imperceptibly reflects the profound philosophy, while the formation of one's writing ability are inextricably linked with a person thought, will, perseverance, emotion, and many other non-intelligence factors. Thus, the study in moral cultivation of modern calligraphy is highly realistic and feasible.This article consists of four chapters. Chapter I is to explore the moral function of modern calligraphy, mainly stating the training of students'life value, humanistic quality, moral character and learning habits, etc; Chapterâ…¡is about the feature of Chinese calligraphy and the personality emblem. Discuss the significance of its personality emblem, stressing on the relationship between calligraphy and people; Chapterâ…¢is to investigate and study the impact of calligraphy training on students'education. Through the analysis of questionnaires and based on the teaching practice, conduct the investigation about calligraphy education and about its influence on various qualities of second vocational school students. Chapterâ…£discusses ways and means to achieve moral goals of calligraphy education. Based on teaching reality, this paper reforms curriculum, emphasizes the teaching model of "Inquiry instructing-Comprehension" and conducts a practical exploration of modern calligraphy classroom teaching.
