In the social transition, China is undergoing profound changes of economic system, social structure, pattern of interests and ideas, which will inevitably lead to new social problems. To solve our social problems effectively requires developing the social work, and "building a large social work personnel" is necessary. The social work education is committed to training professional social workers. This paper takes "the lack of social workers in the market" and "the social work graduates'unemployment" as the starting point for thinking, and uses case study method in qualitative research methods to interview the social work graduates working as social workers in the social service organizations in Shenzhen at present, and to find out the defects and obstacles to development of the professional education of social work and then make feasible suggestions on the changes of social work education.The results show that:First, professional education of social work in the mainland of China has not balanced regional development. Second, evaluation of social work professional education from the graduates is not high in the overall. The graduates think that there are still many shortcomings and obstacles to development for social work education in China. In particular, the problems are as follows:the values of education are not taken seriously; the training objectives are not clear and accurate enough; the structure of curriculum is not reasonable; the practice is not standard; professional teachers are scarce critically.To solve the above problems and make the social work education developed-well, the author puts forward some suggestions. First, professional values specific to social work should be run through the social work education from beginning to end and be infiltrated in all aspects of the social work education. Second, improve the social work personnel training system and cultivate interdisciplinary and applied professionals. Third, standardize the curriculum setting and make curriculum advance with the times to ensure the professional knowledge to adapt to requirements of social development. Fourth, focusing on the time, the place and the supervisors, enhance the quality of social work practice. Fifth, make good efforts to train more professional teachers and improve the professionalism of teachers in post to enhance the strength of the whole professional teachers in China. Sixth, promote professionalization of social work.
