Primary schools Chinese textbook is an important carrier of the contents of primary schools Chinese curriculum, and it's also an important approach to achieve the goal of the Chinese curriculum. Our country attaches their importance to the compilation and use of the textbook in basic education.rimary schools Chinese textbook of our country has a long development process, and has accumulated a rich and traditional experience. We take the textbooks of the PEP and the SEP for example. Through a comparative study of tow editions of primary schools Chinese textbooks, we want to analyze both the similarities and differences of these two textbooks, and also explore their common distinguishing features and rules. At the same time, through the comparison we can learn some experiences on textbook design from two editions of textbooks. They can provide some valuable reference and successful experiences for the further and development and melioration of our national primary schools Chinese curriculum and textbooks, and simultaneously prepare some work for a new reform of Chinese curriculum and teaching material.Through a comparative study, we find that two versions of textbooks have different characteristics and diligently follow the basic idea and demand of the different curriculum criterions. However, because of the different experiences of editors, two editions of textbooks have some differences in the following things: ideas, structure of frame, characteristics of textual choice, characteristics of exercises design and so on. This study can help improve quality of textbooks and provide useful teaching resource with students and teachers.This study includes six parts. The foreword discusses the background of the subject and defines the related objects of study strictly. The second part makes a general overview of Primary schools Chinese textbook based on the new reform of the curriculum, and analyze the differences of two editions of textbooks including background, structure of editors and situation of use. The third chapter analyzes prime ideas of two editions of textbooks. The fourth chapter analyzes and compares structural design of frame. The fifth chapter launches analysis and comparison of content of two editions of textbooks, including characteristics of textual choice and characteristics of exercises design. Finally, we make the conclusion of study and put forward some advice for our national primary schools Chinese textbooks as follow: we should make innovations further in the variety of types of textbooks; The form——"Project– unit",its arrangement is worth further exploration; we should arrange directions of study methods reasonably; we should expand content of the curriculum and teaching channels further; We should note in the structure of content synthetically; In the design of practice, we should strengthen systematicity and scientificity.
