| An informal group comes into existence naturally in activities without the admission or approval of any authority. As a universal existence, the informal group has its important effects on the growth of students as well as the control of the class, both positive and negative. A great deal of research and exploration have been made on this issue both in China and abroad to find effective solutions. This paper, in light of the practice of class control of the author, with the reference of the research achievements and by the methods of questionnaire, interview and observation, explores further into the current situation of informal groups in junior middle school students and their control to find effective strategies for guiding students into formal and healthy growth.We can conclude that when the aim and value of the informal group is the same as the one of the class, they will show the state of being positive. But when the aim and the value of the informal group is different from the one of the class, they will influence the attitude of building the class, and it will even prevent the developing of the class. So the biggest problem is how to keep the balance of different groups and make them to act together in harmony.Finally, the paper discusses in detail the class control of informal groups based on the investigations, induces the types and features of informal groups and puts forward control strategies. |
