His thought and theory is not restricted by the space, time and nationality. The affection is far-reaching and extensive. From the Pre-Qin Dynasty to the Song and Ming, after the transformation and the selection of social history, and through the repulsion and attraction with other theories, Confucius' cultivation thought represented by Confucius, has enriched their own contents, finally condensed for the mainstream content of the Chinese nation spirit, and occupied the dominant position in Chinese traditional culture. The essence of the Confucius' cultivation thought is to make personal correction with the guidance of social ethical and moral codes, thus improving one's moral power and moral level. As a complete system, Confucius' cultivation thought reaches a very high level. His theory serves as the foundation of Chinese traditional ethical culture and influences the ages to come most profoundly. Cultivation is not only an eternal theme of the ancient civilization but also one of the priorities of modern education. From this point, this article launched to research Confucius' cultivation thought, and discussed how to enhance the effectiveness of moral education in schools.The article mainly launched the elaboration from five parts: The first part explored the research background, the research significance and the research present situation of Confucius' cultivation thought, discussed the questions of Confucius' cultivation thought of the value, the goal, the main body, the content and the method, and explained the concept of Confucianist, cultivation and Confucius' cultivation thought. The second part analyzed the formation background of Confucius' cultivation thought. The formation of Confucius' cultivation thought is the result of factors combined of all aspects, including economic environment, political environment and human environment. The third part elaborated the basic contents of Confucius' cultivation thought comprehensively. First it analyzed the theory of human nature foundation which the thought formed, next described the three basic dimensions of this thought from the establishment of cultivation goal, the expression of meaning and the formation of method. The fourth part was the appraisal to Confucius' cultivation thought. The fifth part summarized four big education enlightenments of Confucius' cultivation thought.
