As the first ethicist in ancient China,Confucius firstly constructed the moral theory system in ancient China systematically and comprehensively.His moral education thought is the main component of Confucian moral theory system.This paper analyzes the historical background of Confucian moral education thoughts,in terms of social background,the Confucian moral education thoughts formed in the spring and autumn period and the warring states era,on the one hand,the development of social productivity and growing business,the popularization of upper class culture made it possible to produce thoughts of Confucius moral education.On the other hand,During this period,king decline,Prevalence of hegemony,regicide,patricide occurs frequently,regime change,social unrest and the emergence of the "contention of a hundred schools of thought" situation,All of these make it necessary to put forward moral education thoughts of Confucius.In terms of family background,Confucius lived in a declining aristocratic family,noble birth gave him the chance to be an autodidact at the time of playing "etiquette in sacrificial ceremony",and the demise of the family also give him the chance to do some heavy manual labor.So,as a socially responsible intellectual,Confucius hope to realize the individual "benevolence depending on oneself" and "deny self and return to propriety","peace is precious" in group,restore the social order.Based on the historical background of Confucius thought of moral education research,this paper put forward the four levels of the Confucian moral education target,namely the saints of heaven and earth,the sage of possessing both political integrity and ability,a gentleman of noble words and deeds,personage of the principle of integrity.From personage to gentleman,the gentleman to sage,finally to the saints,the moral education targets are constantly improved.At the same time,this paper discussed the content of the Confucian moral education benevolence also as the core of moral education,with the principle of righteousness as the value of moral education,with the ritual as the basic norms,with the wit for the cognitive standard of moral education,with the truth is the basic element of moral education.Then analyzes the basic principles of Confucian moral education,including emphasizing on "benevolence wisdom and courage" the three moral accomplishment,following the "poetry manners and music" three moral level,the cultivation of moral thinking and practice of generalization of "deny self and return to propriety" moral hierarchy.Discussing the main methods of Confucius moral education,for politicians is to do his benevolent governance,for teachers is both teaching and learning,for the person oneself is to do self-denial introspection,for the group of people is to do harmony.On the basis of the above,this paper gives the historical evaluation of Confucius' thought of moral education and by evaluating pros and cons of it,this paper puts forward the creative transformation of Confucian moral education thought,including gradation conversion of the moral education target,the transformation of Multidimensional of the content of moral education and personalized conversion of moral education methods.Finally analyzes the Confucian moral education thoughts to foster international peace,promote social harmony,and enhance the value of the contemporary school moral education.
