The Empirical Research On The Issue Of Hardship For Female Graduate Employment

As higher education scale expends and graduate employment system reform deepens, the hardship for graduate employment has gained much attention, and the employment of female graduates who is an important part of graduates is worse than male graduate employment. From the research, most of the existing research work is qualitative descriptions, and quantitative research is relatively small. Based on the survey data of 2008 in Gansu Province, the paper analyze the issue of the hardship for female graduate employment in the way of quantitative research method. The research conclusions have been got. The rate of female graduate is lower than that of male graduate, but the satisfaction of female graduate is higher than that of male graduate once they get job. Female employment is harder than that of male. There are many differences in the intention and the process between male graduate and female graduate when they find job. Many factors can affect the results of employment of female graduate. In order to help female graduate, Some measures can be taken. The government should increase employment opportunities; the laws and regulations should be developed in order to ensure fair employment; the traditional minds should be changed if they hinder the employment of female graduate; universities and college should adjust majors according to the social development; college female students should improve their comprehensive ability in order to get job in the future; the government and universities should help female students who are in disadvantage improve their comprehensive capacities in order that they can find job when they graduate.
