To cultivate talents with high quality is the main task of high education, the current psychology mainly presents some new trends to the creativity research.Many researchers who all supported the multi-sides essence of creativity are increasingly favoring to regard the creativity as one kind of syntheses that composed of cognition,thinking and social factors.Many scholars start to find out the synthesis appraisal model of creativity.In order to comprehend the creativity deeply and thoroughly,we can do some researches on creative Thinking,creative process and creative environment and so on.Taking the perspective of the cultural orientation,this research was designed to cultivate ethnic minorities of university students'creativity.Above 2000 ethnic minorities of university students such as the Miao,Buyi nationality and so on,from three southwest provinces' colleges were investigated through College Student's Creativity Questionare which is self-developed with good reliablity and validity.The results are as follows:Firstly,based on multi-sides essence of creativity,a College Student's Creativity Questionare was developed.The internal concordance coeffcient and the re-tset reliability were analyzed to verify the reliability of the questionnaire. And the content validity and the structural validity were analyzed to verify the validity of the questionnaire.The results indicated that the reliability and validity of the questionnaire were good and could be used as an effective tool for assessing college student's creativity. Secondly,as a whole,the level of ethnic minorities of university students'creativity is above the average.These university students whose mean score(M±SD=3.59±0.67) in the re-thinking factor is rather higher are good at monitoring process of problem-solving and evaluating results of it.While their mean score(M±SD=3.29±0.53) in the tearcher' supports factor is relatively lower.Thirdly,In school facors,there are statistically significant gender,grade, major and school type difference in creative spirit.Meanwhile,in family aspects, there are statistically significant difference in some factors,such as whether single child or not,the family structure,family economic state,parents education degree.Furthermore,there is statistically significant interaction in creativity between major and sex,between major and grade(P<0.01).Finally,the ethnic difference is remarkable.Generally,based on originality,reflection,curriculum,peer influence dimension and total score,the Miao nationality and the Buyi nationality students' mean score are significant higher than the Yi nationality and the Zang nationality students'(P<0.01).While,There are no statistically significant difference between the Miao nationality and the Buyi nationality students' mean score(P>0.05),between the Yi nationality and the Zang nationality students' mean score(P>0.05 ).
