Job Burnout is a new subject in education and psychology within recent years.It describes individual's psychological and physiological fatigue due to long working pressure.So it leads to reduced working ability or working enthusiasm,unconcerned for others,reduced personal accomplishment and so on.Teachers have job burnout easier than other careers.Teacher job burnout is a kind of extreme reaction owing to their dealing with working pressure improperly.Its representative is emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and lack of personal accomplishment.Teacher job burnout will have serious bad effect on students' or teachers' physical and mental development.So the significance of studying the secondary vocational and technical school teacher job burnout is great.This paper is on the basis of having read a great deal of library materials and questionnaire survey.It revises The Secondary Vocational School Teacher Job Burnout Status Quo and its Causes Questionnaire and adopts The Secondary Vocational School Teacher Job Burnout Scale by Wu Zhen.The paper investigated 157 secondary vocational school teachers in Foshan City,Guangdong Province and gets such results:1.The factors that affect the secondary vocational school teachers' job burnout are from their own survival pressure,the need of development themselves and expectation of career,working load,students and their lifestyle.2.The degree of secondary vocational school teachers' emotional exhaustion is a little more serious,the phenomenon of depersonalization is not very serious,but personal accomplishment is rather low.3.The tendency of job burnout of the teachers who are 0-5 years of school age are serious.Through the investigation,I get such a result that the contributing factors of secondary vocational teachers' job burnout mainly result from their own survival pressure,worrying about the development of themselves and secondary vocational education prospects,heavy workloads,the current secondary vocational school unruly students and their monotonous life.At last I put forward the personal coping stratigies on how to prevent and lysis secondary vocational school teachers' job burnout.
