With the deepening of reform of mathematics education, great changes have happened in the content and teaching reform of mathematics course in middle school,and lots of new modern mathematics has also joined into the course of middle school. Preliminary test design,which is worthy to be promoted,also has formed into the middle school as elective courseFirstly,as the background of mathematics teaching reform, the topic puts forward the research question,research methods and ideas from several aspects such as the aim of reform,the reform situation at home and abroad,and the significance and importance of opening the course in high school.Secondly,this paper expands the research at home and abroad,the definition, principles and optimization procedure about worthy to be promoted;then to the need of era,expands that optimization is the dynamic of social development,the mark of scientific and technological progress,the important influence of basic education objectives,important contents of mathematics methods,and the course is professional course of optimization edification.Thirdly the topic discusses that the theory of problem solving is optimization to knowledge;metacognitive theory is optimization to cognition;constructivism theory is optimization to learn,and migration theory is optimization to study theory.It discusses that it is feasible and necessary to open the course in middle school.Fourthly,a questionnaire of survey and random interviews are carried out to some teachers and students in some high school of Hunan where the course are opened.We know that teaching status and the existing problems of the course are obtained through statistical analysis of the results and interview.Fifthly,in view of the current situation and existing problem of teaching,some advises are given on how to teach the course from several aspects,such as teacher training,collecting materials,improving students reading ability,strengthen the teaching of optimization methods,explains that some problem,such as developing students' mathematical ability,emphasizing the computing tools application,students actively attending in teaching activities.At last,I hope that these suggestion and advice will be of enlightenment and help to the implementation of this course.
