Present Development Of Badminton Education In Hubei Ordinary Universities And Countermeasures Against Its Development

With the constant propulsion of reforms in the college teaching and further deepening for quality education, sports activities in the university have gotten a relatively fast development under the guidance that healty has become the first principle. Every university excavates various resources to meet the different needs of students through increasing facilities, improving conditions and adding the new projects and contents. Badminton in a traditional sports event in China. It has in accord with the characteristics for student's psychologies and physiologies and has some features that made it become the favorite activity for the university students, such as entertainment, simplicity, interesting and exercise. The important thing is that the courses of sport are offened in the optional courses, badminton has provided the opportunity and platean to study for students as an optional course. Therefore, the author has researched the current situations of badminton in the twenty universities in Hubei province and has tried to understand about facilities, teachers, curriculums, training, contests, organization, the degree of leader's attendance and student's favorite. At the same time, the author has pointed out the necessarity of developing abadminton from the angle of Nationwide Fitness and Lifetime Physical Education.The paper takes the following scientific research methods to investigate the situations and carries on a deep discussion on the factors that restrict the development of badminton in the twenty universities in Hubei province, such as literature consultation, mathermatical statistics, investigation method and logic analysis. And the paper proposes a series of corresponding measures as follows: to renew understanding, to further adjust and improve teaching methods and means, to strengthen training teachers, to increase present fields and facilities, to increase the utilization ratio, to perfect the system of examination and to increase the competition and communication between universities, and so on. The paper provides sufficient, specific and accurate reference materials for promoting the reform and the development in the university courses of badminton in Hubei province, and also offers the basis of reference for lasting, healthy, fast, redered, overall development of badminton in China.The following conclusions can be drawn through the investigation and analysis in the twenty universities in Hubei province that the students are fond of badminton and the motiration is multipleunit not simplex. At the present time, some common colleges have opened the optional course in Hubei province. But some measures should be improved such as perfecting the curriculum, the mode of teaching and the method of examination; strengthening the qualification of teachers; rasing the quantity of fields and establishments and the utilization ratio, increasing the competition and communication and reinforcing the importance for leadership.
