Research On The Current Situation And Countermeasures About The "HuaGuang" Sports Activities Of Henan Province University

The four large-scale investigations in the physique and health situation of students in China since 1985 show that their constitution index has been decreasing.In order to improve their physical situation,which has a direct bearing on the growth of the young generation and the quality of the talented,"Decisions on Advocating Physical Exercises among the Students Nationwide(DAPESA)"was published by the Ministry of Education in China,the General Administration of Sport of China,and the CYL Central Committee in December,2006.To implement DAPESA,Henan Province,according to the different psychological and physical features,promoted sport activities"Shuguang"in elementary schools,"Chenguang"in middle schools and"Huaguang"in colleges and universities.Starting from the necessity of"Huaguang"in colleges and universities in Henan, this essay collects documents observed by literatures,interviews,questionnaire investigations,math analysis and logical approach in the ten colleges and universities in Henan Province from teachers in the Department of PE Teaching for Non-professionals and students of all kinds of degrees.The questionnaires for survey were given in random,350 to teachers and 1500 to students.Beginning with their understanding of"Huaguang",this essay analyzes the specific conduct of it and the problems in the implementation,therefore to give suggestions for its sustainable development.Based on the analysis of the conduct of"Huaguang",the essay concludes:"Huaguang"in Henan Province has been in full swing,however,it is still in the primary stage for it has only been carried out for more than one year;not given enough publicity,it is known by only 45.7%of the teachers and 16.4%by the students:female college students and postgraduates spend little time and strength on sports while the frequency is low;though each four"Huaguang"contests with seven track events were held in 2007 and 2008,because of the restriction of its small size,shortage of faculty and facility,the sports teams in colleges are not diversified and not competitive, therefore,few colleges took part in them;students want better facilities than those that can only satisfy the need of teaching;not enough exchange and evaluation are carried out among the colleges and universities.Suggestions:"Huaguang"should be developed for long periods of time;more publicity,more fund and facility;building the interaction platform;strengthening the supervision,deepening quality education and implementing reward scheme.
