The Research On General Characteristics Of Parent-child Conflict About College Student

Parent-child conflict is an important content of family relationship and it is a course of confront interaction between parent and offspring. The research foundmentally discussed the characteristics of parent-child conflict about colledge student on form, initiation, during time, frequency of the parent-child conflict events and the strategy of resolving the parent-child conflict. The research discussed the active way of resolving parent-child conflict through description the general characteristics of parent-chlid conflict so as to offer some constructive opinions on psychological counseling and guidance of parent and child.The research instituted the first drafts of the questionnaire on basic characteristics of parent-child conflict about college student, the questionnaire on the events of parent-child conflict and the questionnaire on the strategy of resolving parent-child conflict about college student which based on the meams of literature review and opening questionnaire interview. The research selected those fitest questions according to psychological measurements and created the formal questionnaire by trial testing which reviewed the question's defferrence of each questionnaire, analysed the related factors and tested the credibility and validity of questionnaire, did factors analysis to the content and perfected the theory pattern.The research surveyed the college student respondents who belonged to three colleges of Changchun with questionnaire and taking back 428 valid questionnaires.The research discussed the basic characters of relational parenting conflicts about college student through writing and testing the questionnaire and got the results:(1) The forms of parent-child conflict of college students are verbal conflict and emotional confront, while the conflict is arisen from children or both and finished within hours.(2) The researcher manifested that the parent-child conflict of college student has significant difference on gender and grade. For the r parent-child conflict male is significant than female and its occurrence takes on the unsymmetrical pattern of"V". The most parent-child conflict happened in grade four, on the country is grade two. The parent-child conflict is arisen from parent's control, studying, housework and living, characteristic choice, private, spend future development.(3) Most college students cope with the parent-child conflict through peaceful way; few ones would take on confront way. The tactics used are significance in grade: peaceful way is used by most college student in grade two whereas the students in grade four is on the contrary. Male students tendency choice confront way whereas female students is on the contrary.
