The purpose of this paper is to look on the phenomenon of classical Chinese reading and the actuality of classical Chinese education from the psychological point of view,and try to solve the problem of teaching.In the first part,the paper introduced the schema theory from five aspects such as the signification,information processing approach,trait,functions of schema theory and the inherent relationship between schemata and reading comprehension.Schema Theory is a kind of theory about man's epistem.The schema is representation of knowledge in the human brain,which have s characterization such as constitutive property. From Schema Theory on text reading which is the affiliation and process between the past schema of student and the new schema in the text the schema of the student can be adjusted to a integrated state.As an ancient written language,there is a good relationship in history between Classical Chinese and Modern Chinese and also a great difference which is its trait and difficulty in teaching.In the second part,the paper analysed the reason for leading to the failure of Classical Chinese reading from Schema Theory.At the same time the illumination of making the epistem enriched and the cognitive structure constructed is turned up.The last part of the paper emphasized the assist of Schema theory for Chinese teacher who has a joint and several responsibility for the failure of students'reading .The paper quoted the foreign research to show the epistem structure of Chinese teachers should have. In the last part,by means of enumerating an example of classical Chinese , show us the specifical schema that the teache should possess , and the teaching methods to attach importance.
