The Research Of Under Graduates' Occupational Tendency, Sense Seeking And Their Relationship

488 juniors from different major, gender and backgrounds were selected using the questionnaire of undergraduates'sensation seeking and vocational tendency. According to the statistics and analysis of the data, the aims are to talk about the difference of sensation seeking and the features of vocational tendency between different majors, sexes and backgrounds and to know the relationship between juniors'vocational tendency and sense seeking. The result shows:1. Differences on vocational tendency between the juniors from different majors, sexes and backgrounds.(1) Junior college students will focus on wages and benefits, as well as their ability to play when they choose a job; they will not think about higher social status and smaller job stress.(2) There are significant differences between juniors on the realistic and inquiry tendency. The students of science have more vocational tendency on the realistic and inquiry, while the students of arts don't show their superiority on social and artistic career.(3) There is significant difference on vocational tendency between juniors with different sexes. Males'are significant higher than females'on the total score. The score of females'social, artistic and common career tendency are higher than males'.(4) Juniors from the countryside had significantly higher score than juniors from the city on investigate and realize and conventional type of career.2. Differences on sensation seeking between the juniors from different majors, sexes and backgrounds(1) There is no remarkable difference on sensation seeking between the students with different majors and backgrounds.(2) There are significant differences between students from different majors on Thrill andadventure seeking(TAS)and Disinhibition(Dis). Males'are significant higher than females'on the all scores.3. The sensation seeking is relative to vocational tendency.The students with high level of sensation seeking have more tendencies to choose stimulating and risky occupations. Disinhibition and realize type of career was significant relative. Sensation seeking and career type scores of university students were significantly relative. High and low groups of sensation seeking were significant different on realize career, survey vocational and artistic career, as well as on vocational tendency, but no significant different on society and conventional vocation.
