School-based training for teachers, which has been proved to conform to the situation in China, is an extremely important form of continuing education. It is clear that school-based training is an important way to promote the professional development of teachers in rural areas, strengthen the construction of teacher teams, and promote the balanced development of education in China.This paper, taking the 10 rural schools in Changchun for instance, basing on literature study, questionnaire, interview and other research methods, gives a comprehensive analysis of the status of school-based training in rural areas, and spreads out the exposition with a logical order of finding, analyzing and solving the problems.This paper is divided into four parts except introduction:Part One: This part expounds the connotation, basic concept and significance of school-based training, as well as the features of the training for rural areas teachers.Part Two: This part analyses the status of school-based training for rural teachers in Changchun with the combination of questionnaire surveys and interviews, and summarizes the main problems in the training.Part Three: This part deeply studies the main problems in the school-based training for rural areas teachers in Changchun, and analyses the attribution.Part Four: This part offers the countermeasures for the development of school-based trainings for rural teachers in Changchun in six aspects: concepts, teachers, content, methods, evaluation system and guarantee mechanism. In order to improve the quality of school-based trainings for rural teachers in Changchun, the Department of Educational Administration, training institutions and rural grass-roots school leaders should establish a correct concept of school-based training, expand the school-based training, determine the content of the training in accordance with the teachers'needs, select effective forms of the training, strengthen the guarantee mechanism and perfect the evaluation system.
