The reformation of PE curriculum,whose basic roadmap is to carry out new "sports and the healthy curriculum standard",is the major step of quality-oriented education's implementation completely and have brought forward higher request to student's PE learning motivation that is the intrinsic power to impel students to be engaged in the physical education study.The purpose of researching on middle school students' PE learning motivation in Shandong Province is to expedite the current situation and problem of middle school student's PE learning motivation in the initial practice stage of "standard" in Shandong,as well as the impact of new "standard" over students' PE learning motivation.Thereby,combing with the facts,this thesis presents some strategies to improve the PE learning motivation of students.Based on the review of motive theory,this thesis investigates the PE learning motivation and analyzes its relevant factors of middle school students in Shandong Province with methods of analyzing material,investigating students,investigating experts and mathematical statistics. Besides that,this thesis also analyzes the learning motivation difference between focused middle school students and non-focused middle school students,as well as the motivation difference between students form different culture,etc.With interview observation and case analysis,the author shows us some countermeasures to arouse students' PE learning motivation based on their learning situation.The investigation gets the following conclusions:1 The middle school students are at the passive condition in the PE class in Shandong Province and one of the main obstacles of arousing the learning motivation is the teaching content,in which most students aren't interested.It is realistic of the PE learning motivation of Shandong middle school students.And the realization of it is mainly caused by society,school and family environment.It's needed for the society to propaganda the PE and its function wildly and make the students' need of taking part in the PE practice be in accord with social consciousness to arouse students' learning motivation.The school leader and the sports teaching department should pay attention to the sports curriculum reform and teachers should improve their professional skill especially as well as be a good model for their students.The parents also should encourage their children to join in the sports actively and make children's practice need be in accord with their expectation.2 The rate of focused middle school students who seriously pay attention to class in Shandong Province is slightly lower than non-focused school,but it doesn't have significant difference.Compared with non-focused school students,PE learning motivation of focused school students are more realistic and utilitarian,in the same time,they have a higher demand on the teaching materials and the level of the teachers,which have the relationship with objective conditions of the two types of schools and students.According to focused schools,the role of the overall quality of physical education for middle school students should be paid attention to.3 On learning motivation in physical education,the junior high school students in Shandong Province have more "personality" than high school students on learning motivation.And the percentage of junior high school students who are affected by personal interests is higher than that of high school students,but the high school students have a more rational motivation and mature.Because different physical characteristics and individual differences cause different learning motivation between junior high school students and high school students,educators need to understand the physiological and psychological characteristics of students,carry out targeted variety of beneficial activities and carry out targeted education.4 Students of the upper reaches of Shandong province have high motivation than the lower reaches.Compared with the lower reaches students,students in the upper reaches study show a diversification motivation on PE.An important factor seriously affecting the lower reaches of students to attend classes is that their motivation is single for PE class.PE teachers must fully care for the children's self-esteem,more positive guidance and encouragement.5 The basic strategies of cultivating and stimulating middle school students on PE learning motivation in Shandong Province are as follows:①excavating the entertainment of physical elements and enhancing the interests of students to learn PE;②to meet the needs of self-realization in order to give students an opportunity to show off;③importing groups teaching factors and cultivating the awareness of participation of students;④to strengthen the teaching management bounding and regulate behavior among middle school students to learn PE;⑤taking full advantage of physical,psychological characteristics of middle school students and to have a right education of ideals and beliefs.
