Junior high school and senior high school are the two stages of secondary education in our country, which are independent and connected to each other. Great importance is also attached to the research subjects. Studying on the linkage of junior and senior high school curriculum is not only conducive to understanding the beginning of high school courses from the value of the theory, but also important for teaching implementation. The author thinks that the ultimate purpose of bridging courses is to help high school students adapt to the learning environment in high school as early as possible. And the core is to help students have the right learning motivation, and master the learning strategies used in high school. The connection of curriculum should be based on the students’ developmental condition and problems lying in students’ motivation. The present study sampled 96 students in senior high school as the research object, and the high school students learning motivation and learning strategies were measured through the instrument of questionnaire. The results show that most of the students’ motivation to learn remains moderate, but for some students, it was found to be very strong. Appropriate learning motivation can promote students’ learning, but over-strong learning motivation will cause students certain trouble. With regard to students’ cognitive strategy, the study shows that 1/3 students are not good at using strategy of retelling. Some students still can’t use scribbling rehearsal strategies efficiently. Nearly 1/3 of the students cannot take initiative effectively. even more than half of the students do not use form, route map, and comparative map organization strategy. Because the intensive processing strategy and organization strategy cannot be used effectively, English learning efficiency will be greatly affected. Therefore, based on the investigation, from the aspects of objective formulation, we should make the students’ learning motivation and strategy of learning as an important goal, From the course content, on the one hand, we should design course content elaborately and then to achieve the engagement between junior and senior. Also, on the basis of students’ experience and interest, some school-based curriculum content should be developed; in order the cohesion can be reached. From the view of curriculum implementation, on the one hand, we can take a variety of teaching methods, letting the students participate effective knowledge-acquiring process, experience and learning strategy training; on the other hand, dedicating to learning strategies can make students consciously improve their learning methods. Finally, the curriculum evaluation allows students to get successful experience in learning English and get the teachers’ approval. As far as the outcome evaluation and process evaluation, the process assessment is important. When the relative evaluation and the personal evaluation are compared with each other, the latter will be more significant, thus it can encourage students to learn more efficiently.
