Education today pays more and more attention to the life development of the students in the course of education,values greatly the individual diversity of the students and vindicates the individual dignity of the students.Life education,which has become a pursuit of the social value, has been introduced to the teaching materials field and then evolved to a new ideology which emphasizes that the teaching materials should make it to the world of students' lives as well as improve its character in developing students' individuality,valuing students' life existence and showing solicitude for the students' healthy and harmony development.So studying that whether the new edition Primary Chinese textbooks is life emphasized is the issue which we must treat earnestly in the new round reform of basic courses.At first,after conducting systematical statistics and specific content analysis of the life-centered tendency in new edition primary Chinese textbooks of the People's Education Press,we may safely draw the conclusion that there are many problems existing in the textbooks,for example, the separation from students' lives situation,the neglect ion of students' appealing for personal body, viewing the students in adult perspective,etc.Moreover,contrasting the life-centered tendency in the latter edition of the People's Education Press with its earlier edition and the new edition of the Suzhou Education Press,it can see that the latter edition is Progressing in its contents which are more modern and dynamic,but it is overshadow to the new edition of the Suzhou Education Press because of its relatively simple subjects and revolutionary tendency,stereotype of exercises,lucking of originality,and emphasis on the elite group as well as the neglect ion of the ordinary person relatively.Secondly,the main reasons of the non-life phenomenon appearing in Chinese textbooks are the overlooking of the individual lives in our Chinese traditional culture,enslaving the lives by tool rationality and imprisoning the lives by the examination system.Of course,the issues bring negative impacts which we should pay more attention to.There are three negative impacts,the first one is that the students disregard for lives,not their own,but all others,the second one is the decline in students' interest in study;the last one is that the teachers do not have much experience in teaching.Thirdly,what are the life-centered textbooks? That is the basis to discuss about the methods to make the textbooks life-centrally.The author considers there are three criterions to divide whether the textbook is life-centered,one is whether it cherishes the stream of lives,another one is whether it touches the real lives,and the last one is whether it embodies the beauty of lives.The strategies of how to make the textbooks life-centrally are put forward based on the reorganizations of the meaning and the importance of the life-centered textbooks as well as the criterions of them.There are two parts,one is about the contexts of textbooks,which should be got from the lives,for the lives and get it to focus on life-education.The other is about the design of textbooks,which should be shaped to the law of the cognition of the children,closer to the ordinary lives and reserve the space to the teachers for their redevelopment.
