| As the development of the education in the world,more and more countries realize that it is important and urgent to develop the inspection of education.With the development of nearly 20 years,the inspection of education in China has made great progress.While compared with other countries,we have a spatial difference in the types of inspection,the processes of inspection and the inspectors.With the development of nearly 170 years,the inspection of education in England, which has taken an important role in school inspection and direction,is relatively mature and perfect.And the inspection of education in England is mainly operated in schools,which has the same situation with China.And the inspection of secondary school is so important in China that we can promote the inspection of education from referring to the advantages of England and integrating the conditions of China.The research has deeply analyzed the situation of inspection in England by the means of contrasting and documenting.After expounding the history of inspection in England,the research distinguishes the departments of inspections,the types of inspectors,the methods of inspection,the contents and standards of inspection and the processes of inspections.Then the essential characters including specialization, authoritative,extensive and overt of inspections have been analyzed.Though the inspection of education in England is relatively mature and perfect,it has problems in making much focus in the power of inspection,in authorities of inspectors which bring encumbrance in the development of school and in pluralism inspectors who are not benefit to the inspection.And the fairness of the Office for Standards in Education(OFSTED),the authoritative of inspection and the specialization of inspector are doubted by the public.On condition that the inspection of education in England gives new power to the Local Education Authorities(LEA),makes more focus to the inspection of school and accelerates the progress of the specialization of inspector, the inspection of the secondary education in England will make great progress in the near future. |
