In 2005, "views on further strengthening and improving college students' social practice" of the Central Propaganda Department, the Central Wenming Ban, the Ministry of Education, and the CYL Central Committee define the principle of college students' social practice: holding on the people-oriented principle; firmly forming the thought of educating people by practice; making the improvement of college students' ideological and political quality the most important task...making sure the ideological and political education permeates the whole social practice." However, when drawing on the plans for college students' social practice, some universities more consider how to improve college students' employment competitiveness in practice, for example, professional skills and interpersonal skills, and these universities neglect the ideological and political education in college students' social practice. In fact, the ideological and political education is an indispensable part of college students' social practice. Neglecting the significance and role of ideological and political education in college students' social practice not only makes the college students' social practice lack the guide in the value of activities, but also causes the college students' social practice not to carry out in depth, durably and effectively.By using Marxist standpoint and method, this thesis uses new perspectives to fully explore the ideological and political education in college students' social practice.Part one: from the philosophical sense of "practice", this thesis theoretically explores the sense of college students' social practice and clearly sorts out the development of college students' social practice to create good theoretical foreshadowing for the following research.Part two: this part mainly probes into the connotation of the ideological and political education in college students' social practice. It is considered that the ideological and political education in social practice is the educational practice that college educators influence college students purposely, systematically by using certain ideas, political views, code of ethics and theories to spur college students to correctly recognize social practice, to actively take part in social practice and to ensure and push forward the smooth carryon of social practice. This thesis holds that the ideological and political education in college students' social practice has the guiding considering and stimulating roles, and it is the important security for the college students' smooth social practice; the embodiments of the ideological and political education in college students' social practice are stronger permeation, higher participation, bigger flexibility and broader radioactivity.Part Three: this part thoroughly discusses the contents and traits of the ideological and political education in military training, social practice in summer, professional training, work-study and voluntary service. And this part mentions that the contents of the ideological and political education in college students' social practice are dynamic and advanced with the times instead of being static and immutable. After the 17th National People's Congress, the core of the spirit of times based on reform and innovation and the concept of honor of socialism become the new contents of the ideological and political education in college students' social practice.Part Four: this part demonstrates the problems of the ideological and political education in college students' social practice, for example, this kind of education does not cover enough college students, does not have clear targets, and does not have good implementing rules. The thesis analyzes three main embodiment of the reason of the problems, that is, the obscure recognition of the ideological and political education in college students' social practice; lack of good organization of the ideological and political education in college students' social practice; and the weak guiding force of the ideological and political education in college students' social practice.Part Five: suggestions are put forward to further strengthening the ideological and political education in college students' social practice from strengthening theoretical research, organization of work and the building of the contingent. This part also mentions that the resources of social practice in colleges' related departments should be integrated and the advantages of moral education research center should be exerted to carry on the subject planning. The importance of social practice should be emphasized in school education. And colleges should strengthen the subject planning of ideological and political education in college students' social practice, particularly choosing subject from times, from social hotspots, strengthening the summary part, gradually improving the political, theoretical, personality, ability and physical health quality of the teachers.
