The Stduy Of Ideological And Political Education Work Of University Students Social Practice In New Period

The most important and active period for people to develop their skills and learn newthings is their youth. Young people are the main force to promote steady development ofnation. Moreover, they are responsible for the future of our people and nation. Our Party hasalways attached great importance to ideological and political education of college students,especially to the guidance of thoughts and politics. Since the reform and opening up,especially the Fourth Plenum of the 13th Communist Party of China Central Committee, theParty continued their policy that“grasp with both hands to hard", and strengthened theleadership of college students’ideological and political education. College students’are thevanguard of young people. As the growing of their age and the accumulation of theirknowledge, their influence and status in society are increasingly apparent. Moreover, theirmoral and mental behavior will have great influence on the development of our society.With the continuous development of our society, the resource for students to receiveinformation and education is increasingly rich. With the trends of Multi-polar world andeconomic globalization in recent years, there are more and more interactions andcommunications among various thinking and different culture. Thus, the absorption andexclusion, integration and struggle, penetration and resist of different culture co-exist. Withthe further development of domestic market economy, the social and economic elements, theorganizational forms, the benefits and the employment patterns are becoming more and morediverse. The thoughts of college students have become more and more independent, selectiveand changeable.Moreover, the corruption and the unequal distribution of income also haveresulted in the wrong value orientation of college students. The facts that cited above have putforward higher requirements on the ideological and political education work. At present, as the core institutions of ideological and political education, some collegesand universities failed to realize the importance of strengthening and improving students’social practice and ideological education. College students only paid attention to theimprovement of the theory. They neglected the advantages that brought by social practice.These facts, to some extent, constrained the development of ideological and politicaleducation work. In some colleges and universities that have social practice courses, there stillexist some problems such as too simple form and lack of vitality. At this stage, the ideologicaland political education in many schools failed to provide a diverse and deep viewpoint forstudents to learn. Most universities have only spent a few days visiting and interviewing.They failed to combine the actual situation to the local national conditions, which makes theconduct ideological education ineffective.To help students establish correct attitudes to life and values, as well as increase theirabilities through social practice in order to adapt to the social competition and development,my essay focus on the importance of the social practice of ideological and political educationwith the consideration of scientific concept of development in the new situation.
