| The study of college students' self-government in contemporary China is by reason of the development of social democracy. Students' self-government is a way of students'self-management and self-education by self-governing organizations, which leads to learning freedom and democracy participation. Macroscopically, the study of students'self-government will open new fields of vision in the current and future studies of college. Microcosmically, it strengthens college student affairs management, promotes the individuality development and arouses their creativity. But it has not run smoothly up to now. Under the environment of the social change, it is faced with difficulties, which holds it back. It is urgent and important to study students'self-government on account of the practice requirement.The west studied students'self-government early. It is valued in Chinese academic world with the increasing of student self-governing organizations. Although the study in China makes a great achievement, it has a long way to go. There are less papers focus on students'self-government and most of them talks in generality rather than study intensively. It lacks theory support for the better development of students'self-government in our country.It is necessary to definitude the importance of students'self-government and research on its history. The both are essential basic study. Firstly, the thesis studies historic material starting with the research on emergence and development of college students'self-government, and then the practice, including different types in Tai Wan and Malaysia. Secondly, from the relation between school and students'self-government point of view, the paper emphasizes its importance, effect and practical significance. Finally, the thesis analyzes the problems bases on the fact of Chinese college students'self-government, construes the relation modes between country and two types of students'self-government which are opening democracy type and state intervention type. And at last the thesis tries to quest for the future development orientation and development approach in China. |
