Study Of Vocational Graduates' Employment Competitiveness

Employment is the basis of people's lives. since reform and opening up, China's higher education has achieved rapid development. especially due to expansion from 1999, the number of college students increases substantially, higher education has become popularized. China's Vocational education is booming too much in this stage. due to the attention of government, higher vocational education has been vigorously promoted and developed, it has become extreamly important. Because of the rapid development of higher vocational education and growing higher vocational graduates ,the employment problem of graduates becomes the focus of higher vocational Education .In addition, because China's higher vocational education's history is not longer, colleges are lack of experiences , there exsits problems referring to the position of Personnel training , major construction , course construction, employment guidance and others, which lead the higher vocational graduates' competitiveness can not be fully manifested.This paper includes internal and external employment environment's survey of vocational graduates .external employment's survey include the demands of different industries, requirements of different areas. The survey of internal employment environment includes the mentality , ability, employment orientation of higher vocational graduates, this survey also contains inveatigation of their working attitudes, job competence, work stability of them. Then I make use of SWOT to analysis the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the graduates of higher vocational colleges. At the same time, I analysis the current state of higher vocational education and its main problems in order to put forward measures that can help graduates analysis the demand and trend of society, which are better for them to raise professional capacities, employment skills and ulteriorly help colleges set up reasonable curriculums, reasonable capability cultivate system which can raise employment ratios of graduates.As a type of higher education, Vocational education's existence is necessary. Higher Education department [2006] 16《Some opinions referring to comprehensively improve the quality of higher vocational education》points out higher Vocational education shoulders mission of cultivating highly skilled personnels for first-line's production ,construction, services. Therefore, its effect can not be insteaded during the construction of socially modernized china. Therefore, the higher vocational education should be employment-oriented, base on market demand, accelerate the reform and do better in major planning, which can constantly enhance the competitiveness of graduates and guarantee its sustainable development.
