In most people's view, Inquiry Learning is carried out as a comprehensive activity after school, asking students to spend time in searching some materials and taking part in social investigations. We can't help asking under the terrible pressure of the college entrance exam, can the students develop explore spirit just through this limited study activities? Can they construct a solid system of knowledge? After all, students can't do without class teaching, why is it that the Inquiry Learning reject what is near at hand and seek what is far away? Therefore, having experienced and studied Inquiry Learning on Politics lessons, we found that to follow the trend of the development of the new curriculum reform is to let Inquiry Learning face class directly and to let Inquiry Learning appear on politics lessons normally in senior high school.This thesis consists five parts. The first part is to point out some pitfalls on politics lessons at present based on researching the reality of how Inquiry Learning was carried out, and then put forward strengthening Inquiry Learning on politics lessons in senior high school. The second part mainly focuses on the concept of Inquiry Learning in senior class, from general to concrete, from connotation to outer logical order, describe Inquiry Learning concretely. Based on that, we also review how the research study formed and developed, analyze the characteristics of it, at last, we compared Inquiry Learning with Reception Learning. The third part analyzes the theory of Inquiry Learning on politics lessons in senior high school and the basis from philosophy and the meaning which bring to teaching. The fourth part mainly tells us the concrete implementation process. At first, explore the basic model, then combine this with teaching practice and conclude the four steps of the teaching method: teaching aim, examples leading-in, questions study, ability construction. In the process of carrying out each step, try to find the principles, and analyze the effect of this teaching model based on teaching practice. The fifth part is to reconsider the subject and look into the future.To any teaching method, we should hold a matter-of-fact attitude, seeing both its advantages and disadvantages. Since the new curriculum reform, although Inquiry Learning has become the focus of the educational circles, but acting as a teaching method, it definitely has it disadvantages and shortcomings, It is just as when we plan to watch 2008 Beijing Olympic games, we can choose to go there by air, train or car just according to our own need and practical situation. Teaching should obey the teaching rule, and try to realize the best combination of all teaching methods.
