| Stepping into the new century , the education department has made a new all-around aim in the process of the elementary education period with regard to the reform of curriculums , and the newly issued new course standard explicit the standards , the conception and all of the requirements towards geography course in senior school. As is known, the most urgent thing concerning teaching background to do is involved in the fact that the inefficiency or being no avail turns out to be so serious that students almost study passively and the lessons burden gets heavier ,thus making the students lack creativity as well as practical capability, which resulted in that implementing the quality education goes in a wrong way. As a result, to improve teaching efficiency of all curriculums tend to be the key to this problem.The writer has found that a lack of informative theory and authentic practice brings about the consequence that some of the teachers make their teaching practice divorced from the conception of new curriculum. In accordance with such a bottleneck problem ,the writer is aiming to focus on the effective teaching in geography course in senior school with a wide view under the new curriculum ,combining the theory of effective teaching in geography classes ,exploring the theory of practical application, trying to extend valid teaching strategies especially by means of viewing from an angle of getting key factors of teaching design in a relatively systematic way , and the passage really covers four major strategies along with the explanation and characteristics of effective teaching that are divided as follows: Prerequisite -to draw up a scientific teaching object ;Basis-to polish the teaching content reasonably ;Focal point- to modify the teaching method smoothly ; Guarantee—to operate the class to the best advantage . Last but not least, a laid-out of a real teaching presentation is attached in the appendix as an example.
