Objective:To discuss the research performance system which was presented by a college of Chongqing to eliminate the current disadvantages on long-term development of the college research, such as the team mainly of teachers with students, the lack of research collaboration, the utility of research purpose, the instability of research direction.Methods:Two kinds of research performance system were compared through the investigation on compositions of research team, situations of research collaboration, research purposes, the stability of research direction, and so on. The investigated part was mainly used with the combination of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. Quantitative analysis was investigated by questionnaire while qualitative analysis was interviewed by two interviewers with the drafted reference. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used to ensure dimension and index in the new system, and Chi-square test was used.Results:The research showed that some problems existed in the college such problems as the team mainly of teachers with students, the lack of research collaboration, the utility of research purposes, the instability of research direction. As the result, Input-Output model was used to present new system and to compare research index of new system with the old one, and standard-reaching rate had statistically significant difference (χ~2=9.6372,P=0.0019<0.05;u=66.93,P=0.0001<0.05)Conclusion:The new performance has more flexible methods, higher requests and stronger guides and is benefit to eliminate the current disadvantages on long-term development of the college research.
