Since the middle of the 1990s, Internet has increasingly become vital information resources in the world community. Its utility ranges from all fields of our society to each corner of people's lives. And contemporary college students are those who are influenced most greatly. It is their sensitivity to and concern about new knowledge and new information that makes Internet culture spread in campuses and combined with campus culture. Thus a new cultural form, that is, campus network culture, has emerged. With the rapid development of socialist market economy and Internet information technology, college students' values also take on some new features. This paper makes a detailed analysis of the impact of campus web culture on college students' values by introducing the definition of network culture and analyzing the status quo as well as major characteristics of campus network culture, and new features of college students, values in the web environments. It concretely portrays the positive influences of campus network culture on college students' values in the following perspectives. First, campus network culture enlarges the ranges of and approaches to college students' participation in politics, beneficial to the formation of their concepts of political democracy. Second, it advocates equal dialogue which is helpful to the construction of the ideas of equality among college students. Third, it lays great emphasis on ideological innovation, and enhances the development of college students' individuality. Fourth, it presents a new set of ethics, putting forward the ethical progress of college students. And finally, it opens a new page of cult of reading books, seeking knowledge and causing the reform of educational values. However, campus network culture also brings some negative effects on those college students whose views of world and values have not been stably established. For example, it causes the slant of some college students' political values. Therefore, the author of this thesis takes the view as follows. With our political and ideological education in an age of Internet, colleges and universities should make full use of the positive influence of Internet and avoid or eradicate the negative influence on college students in a down to-earth way. First, we should further enhance basic standards of socialist values to help college students to overcome their extreme individualism and anarchism. Second, we should take advantage of Internet to cultivate and strengthen their consciousness of democracy and equal participation by advocating socialist values of democracy and equality. Third, we should transform the modes of educational thoughts and reinforce the education for college students' personalities in the context of campus network culture. Fourth, we should focus on ethic education of network through net management with ethic, operation and legal operation combined together. Fifth, we should renew the methods of theological education and take advantage of campus network to launch all kinds of educations aiming at collegiate work in politics and theology. And finally, we should change the previous education ideas of college teachers, organize and construct a staff of politically theological work that is adjusted to the development of Internet age.
