This research paper explores new theories and practices in teacher-centered school management system.The motif of the paper is to take the theories on teacher-oriented management as a guideline, and to take such management practices in Xilin Middle School, Jinshan District as a case in point, in order to conduct systematical analysis case by case and via close comparison on humanistic approaches to manage teaching personnel, and in order to put forward three hypotheses and analyze their respective frameworks.The paper consists of six parts, making six separate yet closely-related chapters as follows:Chapter One: Prelude. In this part, first, the meaning of conducting research on humanistic management is expounded from the perspectives of both academic and practical values, secondly, an insight and comprehensive analysis is conducted on the status quo of humanistic management of teaching staff both domestically and abroad; finally, the writer's overall plan and specific approaches are brought out and fully expounded.Chapter Two provides in-depth background information and explores the theoretical basis on which the research shall be conducted. The background information includes social development, progress made in the educational sector, and drastic changes in school management systems. Researches are made on influences on people today of humanistic approaches, theories on human resources, and theories on professional development, thus pointing out the pertinence and practical significance of adopting humanistic approaches in school management. Furthermore, the logic meanings of basic concepts in humanistic school management are defined step by step and, the connotation and features of humanistic school management are illustrated on this basis and the key principle in conducting such a management system is manifested.Chapters Three through Five forms the bulk of this paper which is based on the writer's personal management experience and concerns mainly with the writer's overall plan on theories and practices of humanistic school management approaches. The overall plan is guided by theories on humanistic school management, and aims at breathing practical effects into school management, realizing the values of both theory and practice.Chapter Three: Practice and exploration of humanistic school management: Part One. Its aim is to build a warm spiritual home for all teachers on the organizational level.Chapter Four: Practice and exploration of humanistic school management: Part Two. Its aim is to build a platform on which the capacities of all teachers are developed more fully on the educational level.Chapter Five: Practice and exploration of humanistic school management: Part Three. Its aim is to build a poetic stage on which the meanings of life are fully explored in the sense of school life.Chapter Six: Conclusion. This chapter mainly includes some revelations and after-thoughts. They aim at provoking more analysis and worthy thinking about practical problems arising from humanistic management practices both in the macro and micro senses, deepening such humanistic management approaches and expecting feedbacks and suggestions from peers in this area.
