Chinese course is a main required course of general knowledge for secondary vocational school students of all specialties. However, with the continuous development of current middle vocational education, the teaching of Chinese in secondary vocational schools meet a great challenge: the teaching ideas are undeveloped; teaching lacks of targets; teaching methods are rigid; the teacher-student relationship is not harmonious; the evaluation methods of Chinese course is single and lacks mechanism of competition, and teaching materials can satisfy the needs of students. All these lead to the most obvious problem in Chinese teaching of secondary vocational schools—the inefficiency of teaching, which is characterized by the inefficiency of educational function, students'reluctance with study, the lack of teachers'sense of achievement. As a result, the Chinese teaching in secondary vocational schools fails to play its due role. Moreover, these problems hinder the further development of Chinese education in secondary vocational schools. The study is made to analyze the current situation of Chinese class teaching in secondary vocational schools. Based the analysis, the paper adopts some new opinions of the New Course Reform and many findings on current Chinese research and puts forward a series of tactics to optimize the class teaching.Optimizing Chinese class teaching tactics in secondary vocational schools mainly includes working out scientific and clear class teaching objectives, selecting and organizing teaching content scientifically, optimizing class teaching process, adopting flexible and diversified teaching methods, building up a harmonious class environment, makes a connection in and after class. Chinese teachers in secondary vocational schools should change the ideas, maintain a sense of honor in the occupation and enhance personality charm. These tactics will effectively increase the Chinese class teaching efficiency, change the current situation, ensure the function of Chinese teaching in secondary vocational schools, thus improve the overall quality of the trained people.
